Foxton Locks take the Grand Union - Leicester Arm (and us) 75 feet uphill in two

 sets of five staircase locks.  The top gates of one lock form the bottom gates of the

lock above.  It is a very popular spot for locals and the refurbished pub (top right)

re-opened Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
