Nb RAMYSHOME

Pictures of the Ribble Link

The crossing involves travelling 4 miles down the River Douglas to the River Ribble then 3 1/2 miles up river, going always against the tides.

Not great weather!

Getting very choppy

From the Ribble the boats turn into the Savick Brook which has been made navigable as a link to the Lancaster Canal

It's narrow and twisty

The final three locks make a staircase boats go up and down backwards!
